Stella Carakasi Flagship Store Is Turning One!

 

Located right here on fabulous Fourth Street in Berkeley, California and less than a mile from Stella’s design studio, the Stella Carakasi flagship store is a dream realized. After successfully launching her online store, Stella wanted to create a beautifully curated boutique that was more than just a showroom, but a creative space to collaborate with other artists, local designers and to connect with her customers.

This past year has been an amazing journey for our entire team. We’ve launched two collections, staged fashion shows, collaborated with amazing female entrepreneurs and hosted incredible in-store events with local and non-profit organizations including: The Guild, Dress For Success, Watermark and The Berkeley School.

At the heart of our store you will find our stylists, who are creative and customer focused.  They delight in exceeding shopper expectations and are passionate about helping women realize their personal style.

This Spring we are gathering inspiration from women who inspire us to be our best selves and encourage an air of whimsy. In this spirit, we are honored to introduce our special guest, author Alysia Helming. Through her her debut best-selling novel PROTOGENESIS she shares her imaginative world of Greek mythology seen through the eyes of her protagonist Helene. We have crafted the perfect nod to her literary talent and the Spring season with our exclusive Protogenesis look inspired by Alysia’s book.

Alysia Helming, author of the novel PROTOGENESIS the first in a series: Protogena Chronicles crafts a young adult fantasy romance set in modern Greece, where ancient mythology and science fiction unite. Get to meet Alysia in person at an exclusive book signing session!

Runway Wrap-Up

Fall fashion is here! Despite balmy summer temperatures last weekend, excited fashionistas congregated at the Stella Studio on Friday night where Stella Carakasi presented The Fall Style Event in partnership with The Rich Life (on a budget), and in celebration of San Francisco Fashion Week. Collaborators in the event included Fashion Over Fifty, Daisy Tribe, jewelry designer Janet Harrer, and Style Equation Magazine. The designer presented a private show to bloggers and local fans who mingled and noshed on delightful treats from Whole Foods Market and grooved to cool beats provided by DJ Rimarkable.

 
   

San Francisco Fashion Week – Celebrate Local!

We’ve had so much fun participating in San Francisco Fashion Week this year. This weeklong event truly represents what is unique about the SF Bay Area and Silicon Valley. It has been wonderful to meet so many creative people that are challenging the status quo, taking risks, and living their dreams out loud!

“We love being an SF Bay Area company. This is a special place where creativity, fashion, technology and entrepreneurialism come together in a unique way. We are proud to support SFFAMA to bring greater visibility to the creative and emerging talents here,” says Stella.

Stella and Steven looked awesome at the Opening Night Reception at Mercer in SOMA. Our posse also included Emily, Yarra, Vivian, Jeff, Brandon, too! It was lovely just spending time together, laughing and taking in the SF fashion scene! Check out our Facebook for more photos from the week.
